First, we found a partner.
Second, we got materials. The materials were sponges, Popsicle sticks, toothpicks, marshmallows and Play-dough.

Turtle Pond
We learned a new coding program. Turtle Pond from NCTM Illuminations gives the students an opportunity to practice math and computer science skills while having fun. We learned the program together as a group. There was a big cheer every time the turtle reached the pond. The students had a chance to try it on their own during centers. I was so proud of the students who persevered through many errors to accomplish their goal.
